POSITION SUMMARY: Become a Service Technician at Fallon’s Home and Hearth and as a key member of our dynamic team, you’ll be responsible for providing top-notch service by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Fireplace Systems for our valued customers. If you have a background in repair work, exceptional problem-solving skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we want you on board.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Diagnosis fireplace systems to resolve operating problems according to manufacture specifications (Including but not limited to ignition systems, gas pressures, venting, mechanical, and house pressure)
- Regular use of diagnostic tools such as a manometer, multimeter, and magna helix to obtain readings on gas in house pressures and voltages
- Initiate gas startups and performs homeowner orientations
- Maintains up to date on all on-line, hands-on and product trainings to maintain current product knowledge and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide needed information with a high degree of professionalism
- Regularly contacts customers prior to service calls to maintain accuracy in scheduling
- Maintains effective communication with all operations, sales, branch, field department to ensure that the service call is completed and meets quality standards
- Attends and successfully completes all company provided training
- Follows all OSHA and company safety requirements and procedures
- Keeps jobsite clean and picked up before leaving site
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to manage multiple projects independently, follow up and meet deadlines

- Proficient computer skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Forklift Certification required (certification can be obtained once employed)
- High school diploma equivalent
- Two years’ experience in related industry (HVAC, construction, etc.)
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This is a physical position that requires overall good health and strength.
- Ability to lift to 100lbs.
- Must be able to climb a ladder and work on roofs.
- Ability to consistently lift, carry, push, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, reach and work with hands and fingers.
