POSITION SUMMARY:
The job of a sales associate is to sell merchandise to customers in a professional and ethical manner, functioning as part of a team at Fallon’s Home and Hearth. Sales associate has specific duties most of which relate to providing top quality customer service and complete customer satisfaction. To receive a satisfactory rating in a performance appraisal, sales associate must also meets specific sales and average transaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Welcomes customers and determine specific customer needs
- Provides customers with a detailed, knowledgeable presentation
- Utilizes Fallon’s sales stage practices
- Works with customers to determine and suggest best product for their needs
- Provides communication with client promptly and efficiently by desired communication (e-mail, phone or in person meeting)
- Maintains showroom standards and best practices
- Assists the Sales Operations Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently, follow up and meet deadlines
- Possess a willingness to learn and problem solve
- Proficient computer skills
- Must be reliable and flexible
- Display a professional appearance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma equivalent
- Two years’ experience in sales
- Two years’ experience in customer service
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Working for periods of time on a computer
