POSITION SUMMARY:

The job of a sales associate is to sell merchandise to customers in a professional and ethical manner, functioning as part of a team at Fallon’s Home and Hearth. Sales associate has specific duties most of which relate to providing top quality customer service and complete customer satisfaction. To receive a satisfactory rating in a performance appraisal, sales associate must also meets specific sales and average transaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcomes customers and determine specific customer needs
  • Provides customers with a detailed, knowledgeable presentation
  • Utilizes Fallon’s sales stage practices
  • Works with customers to determine and suggest best product for their needs
  • Provides communication with client promptly and efficiently by desired communication (e-mail, phone or in person meeting)
  • Maintains showroom standards and best practices
  • Assists the Sales Operations Supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently, follow up and meet deadlines
  • Possess a willingness to learn and problem solve
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Must be reliable and flexible
  • Display a professional appearance

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma equivalent
  • Two years’ experience in sales
  • Two years’ experience in customer service

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
  • Working for periods of time on a computer
