I called to schedule an appointment to replace the ignitor on my Harman Stove, because I kept getting an ignition failure message and the stove wouldn’t light. The person I spoke to diagnosed the problem over the phone, and suggested that it was not likely to be the ignitor based on the age of the stove. He suggested that I make sure that all the holes in the burn pot were cleaned out, and to remove the ignitor cover and vacuum out the ash from around the ignitor. I was to contact him only if that didn’t work, at which time we would schedule a technician visit.

Sure enough, many of the holes were clogged and a whole bunch of ash was removed from the ignitor box. Since doing this simple maintenance, the stove has ignited without fail ever time. I sincerely appreciate the help provided. You may have lost some profits by not automatically sending out a technician, but you have gained my trust and loyalty as a customer going forward.

In November 2018 we installed the STUV 1668 insert wood stove. We replaced a pellet stove with the STUV and are completely thrilled with our choice. The unit provides heat and a beautiful fire glow. With our pellet stove here was a constant fan hum in the background. Most of the wood stoves we looked at had a fan component— we thought that was our only option. The STUV provides heat without the din of a fan! Our cats particularly enjoy curling up in front of the fire — with the convection heat spreading across the floor. Another bonus is the glass— we looked at every stove available (seriously tons) and all had primarily black iron and a small glass area. No other stove offers the beautiful view of your fire.

It is nice to have a fire without the background noise a fan creates. We are impressed with the heat that is produced in our 16×20 family room. The convection action makes starting a fire easy (minutes) and pushes the warmth across the room. You will not be disappointed! I also want to give kudos to Heath and Home! The installation was seamless!

I purchased a Harman pellet stove here and the sales support was outstanding. After one year, I ran into a problem with the igniter failing. I was unable to manually light the fire. When I contacted the dealer, I was told about a two week lead time for service calls. Given that the stove was not working, I felt this was not acceptable. After posting my original review, Harry Fallon reached out to me to explain an update to their service policy. Effective next season, they will no longer perform stove cleaning service during the heating season. This will free up their service techs to repair stoves which is far more critical than simply cleaning. I had performed a cleaning during the summer on mine and hopefully everyone will follow this approach.

I changed my review based upon the store’s very quick and responsive action to my concerns. I would strongly recommend them for your purchase.
