The Heat & Glo: Cerona 36 Fireplace, from the Gas Fireplaces wall at Fallon's Home & Hearth From the Gas Fireplaces Wall

Why a Gas Fireplace

A Real Fire at the Flip of a Switch—Even With the Power Out

A direct-vent gas fireplace is the fire most Seacoast families end up living with: on in seconds, off when you leave the room, and heat that keeps coming when the grid doesn't. The sealed firebox draws air from outside and vents straight out the wall, so it goes where a chimney never could—a new addition, a bedroom, a basement family room.

We carry Heat & Glo and Heatilator for the classic and the clean-face looks, and Ortal for the long linear fires architects draw. Every one is installed by our crew: framing, gas line coordination, venting, and the stone, mantel, or finish around it, quoted as one project.

Start with an instant installed estimate on the model you like. Then we'll visit the house, confirm the venting path and the gas supply, and firm up the number before you commit.

What You Get

Why Customers Choose Gas Fireplaces

Heat Through an Outage

Most direct-vent models light and run without electricity—the fire that works during the ice storm.

Direct Venting Where a Chimney Can't Go

Direct venting runs out a wall, so the fireplace goes in the room you actually use.

Log Sets, Linear Flames, or See-Throughs

Traditional log sets, modern linear ribbons of flame, see-throughs—one installer for all of them.

Installation and Service From One Crew

We frame it, vent it, light it, and come back every year for the service.

From a Gas Fireplace Owner

"Appreciate the help getting me setup with my Mezzo 60! I'm happy with the heat output and how it looks in my basement."

Straight Answers

Common Questions About Gas Fireplaces

Plain answers from the showroom, and the estimate on every unit above.

Get Instant Estimate
Do I need a chimney for a gas fireplace?
No. A direct-vent gas fireplace vents through a wall or the roof with a sealed pipe. It works in homes without a chimney and in rooms far from one.
Will it heat the room or is it just for looks?
Both. A direct-vent fireplace is a sealed heater—most of the models we install put real heat into the room, and many have a fan to move it. Ortal linear models lean decorative; we'll point you to the right one for the job.
Propane or natural gas?
Either. Much of the Seacoast runs on propane; we coordinate the line with your gas supplier and the unit is set up for the fuel you have.
How long does installation take?
A typical direct-vent installation is one to two days once the framing is ready. New-construction and remodel projects are scheduled with your builder; we handle the rough-in dimensions early so nothing waits on us.
