The Heat & Glo: Exclaim 36, from the Wood Fireplaces wall at Fallon's Home & Hearth From the Wood Fireplaces Wall

Why a Wood Fireplace

The Real Fire, Built Into the Wall

A factory-built wood fireplace gives you the open fire of a masonry hearth without the masonry—lighter, faster to build, and far more efficient than a brick firebox. For new construction and remodels on the Seacoast it's how most wood fireplaces get built now: a steel firebox, a class-A chimney, and whatever stone, tile, or mantel you want around it.

We carry Heatilator and Heat & Glo for the classic open fireplace, and Stûv for the modern, clean-face designs that pivot or retract their glass. Our crew coordinates the rough-in with your builder, sets the unit, runs the chimney, and finishes the wall.

Get an instant installed estimate, then bring us in early—the framing dimensions matter, and we'd rather give them to your builder before the walls close.

From a Wood Insert Install

"We used Fallon's twice this year, once to install a pellet stove and most recently a wood-burning insert. We are so happy with the product and the service was great. Thanks to Harry for helping us pick the right stoves & to Josh and Matt for the install!"

Common Questions About Wood Fireplaces

Plain answers from the showroom, and the estimate on every unit above.

Get Instant Estimate
Can I add a wood fireplace to an existing house?
Yes, if there's a place to run the chimney. Zero-clearance fireplaces frame into a wood wall; the chimney goes up through the roof or out and up an exterior wall. We confirm the route at the in-home visit.
Is a factory-built fireplace as good as masonry?
It's lighter, far more efficient, and built as a sealed system with its own chimney. Most of the wood fireplaces going into Seacoast homes today are factory-built for those reasons.
What's the difference between Stûv and the others?
Stûv builds modern, clean-face wood fireplaces—many with glass that retracts so you can burn open or closed. Heatilator and Heat & Glo build the classic open-hearth look.
Do you work with my builder?
Every week. We give rough-in dimensions and chimney routes early, schedule the installation between the trades, and finish the wall after the drywall if you want us to.
