The Harman: P68-c Pellet Stove, from the Pellet Stoves wall at Fallon's Home & Hearth From the Pellet Stoves Wall

Why a Pellet Stove

Whole-House Heat on a Hopper of Pellets

A pellet stove is the closest thing to a thermostat-controlled furnace that still has a fire in it. Load the hopper, set the temperature, and a Harman or Quadra-Fire feeds itself for a day or more—steady heat for the room you live in and, sized right, for most of the house. On the Seacoast, where oil and propane bills climb every January, it's the category we sell more of than any other.

Pellets are dense, dry, and clean—no splitting, no stacking, no creosote. You buy them by the bag or by the ton, and we deliver to 126 towns across New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. The stove needs electricity for its auger and blower, so if outages worry you we'll add a battery backup.

Every pellet stove we sell is installed by our own crew and serviced by our own technicians—factory trained on Harman and Quadra-Fire. Get an instant installed estimate below, then we'll confirm the venting and the number at a free in-home visit.

What You Get

Why Customers Choose Pellet Stoves

Thermostat-Steady Heat

Set the temperature and the stove holds it. Harman's controls sense the room, not the fire.

Fuel Costs Below Oil and Propane

Pellets by the ton cost less than oil or propane for the heat they put out—and the price doesn't swing with the news.

Hopper Loads That Last a Day or More

Large hoppers and slow feed rates mean you load once, then forget it until tomorrow.

Ash Pans Emptied Weekly, Not Daily

Dry pellets burn hot and complete. Empty the ash pan weekly, not daily.

From a Two-Stove Household

"Purchased 2 Harman pellet stove from Fallon and just had our stove cleaned and serviced. Tyler did an awesome job, stove looked brand new. We also purchased our Vermont wood pellets from Fallon and the delivery driver is also very courteous and accommodating. I highly recommend Fallon if you are considering a pellet stove."

Common Questions About Pellet Stoves

Plain answers from the showroom, and the estimate on every unit above.

Get Instant Estimate
Will a pellet stove heat my whole house?
Sized to your square footage and placed where the air moves, a Harman or Quadra-Fire pellet stove heats most Seacoast homes as the primary source. Many of our customers leave the furnace off all winter. We size it on the free in-home visit.
How many pellets will I burn in a winter?
It depends on the house and how warm you keep it, but three to five tons is typical for a Seacoast home that runs the stove as its main heat. We sell pellets by the ton and deliver to 126 towns.
What happens when the power goes out?
The auger and blower need electricity, so the stove stops with the grid. We can add a battery backup that keeps it running through an outage, or pair it with a gas fireplace or wood stove that doesn't need power.
Does a pellet stove need a chimney?
No. Pellet stoves vent through a small-diameter pipe that can run out a wall or up through the roof—one reason they fit in rooms a wood stove never could. We confirm the venting path at the in-home visit.
