Fallon’s Home and Hearth: A Family Business Story
How a service company for fireplaces and chimneys evolved into a leading hearth appliance dealer in the northeast
Fallon’s Home and Hearth is a family-owned and operated business that has been the seacoast leader in fireplace systems for the last 45 years. What started as a service company for fireplaces and chimneys in the late 70s has grown into a successful retailer of a wide range of hearth appliances, including wood, pellet, and gas fireplaces, stoves, and inserts.
The Beginning
1976, Fallon’s Home and Hearth was founded by a Father and two sons, who saw a need for a service company that specialized in fireplaces and chimneys. They started with a small van and a few tools, and soon gained a reputation for their professionalism and expertise.
They also developed a loyal customer base, who appreciated their friendly and honest approach. As the business grew, they hired more staff and expanded their services to include installation and maintenance of fireplaces and chimneys.
The Transition
As the product and times changed, so did Home and Hearth. In the 80s and 90s, the demand for wood-burning fireplaces and stoves declined, as more people switched to gas or electric heating. Home and Hearth recognized the need to diversify its product offerings and began to explore the emerging market of pellet stoves.
They were one of the first to bring wood pellets to the northeast, and they partnered with Harman, a leading manufacturer of pellet stoves. They became Harman’s #1 dealer for pellet stoves multiple times and established themselves as a trusted source of alternative heating solutions.
The Present
Today, Fallon’s Home and Hearth sells a wide range of hearth appliances, from traditional wood-burning fireplaces and stoves to modern pellet and gas fireplaces, stoves, and inserts. They have an impressive showroom, where customers can see and feel the different models and options. They also have a team of experienced and certified technicians, who provide installation, service, and repair of all the products they sell. They continue to uphold their high standards of quality and service, and they value their long-term relationships with their customers. They are proud to be a family business, and they look forward to serving the community for many more years to come.
